Project Wild Penguin - The Intro

So after getting a taste of IT Service Sector and getting disinterested and disillusioned with programming for nearly 6 months, I have decided to set my house in order. I started this blog to keep a record of problems that I encounter and the solutions that I found to solve them  but sadly I haven't used it for that purpose.

Like many of my other  personal codes that I have violated, this violation has also cost me bad. But I have decided to fix it before the end of this year.

So, I've a rough blueprint in my mind which I'm going to put in words here. It is not my complete blueprint but it covers the most important features of it.

So, the current technology that I've been trained in is .NET + C# which seems to me is just good for being a maintenance guy and it doesn't give me scope to further my skills and even have better opportunities. That's why I'm going to have a three pronged approach to improve my programming skills and build myself a better developer profile.

The first skill or technology that I really need to learn to become relevant again is JAVA and also maybe do some certification. Since I'm really broke right now and other parts of a larger plan has also been sent into motion, I'll only look into gaining competency in JAVA. I have covered  basics of JAVA a while back so I'll just have a refresh of the basics and go step by step into the uncharted terrain. The focus area or final endpoint will be when MEAN is added to my arsenal.

The second one that I've been most interested since my college days is learning and implementing most of my pet projects in Python. It's the central piece of my blueprint. The master key. I'll be writing about it more in my next posts.

The third and last one is my personal Moonshot project that is to automate every rudimentary thing possible. it involves learning Machine learning and is coupled with my second goal.

So, that's a rough sketch of what I want to do in the next year related to my professional and core foundation.

Next I'll be writing about setting up development environment on my machine.
Till then -

Ciao.
